About The Procedure
First, we need to gather the following information:
- Shape of the silicone breast prosthesis (round/teardrop)
- Where to place silicone breast prosthesis (under the muscle/ above the muscle).
- Size of the silicone breast prosthesis (about how many cc it will be).
Based on these criteria, we make pre-operative analyses for the patient and determine which implant type and placement is ideal for you. We may also get an idea by placing the prosthesis samples in different volumes and profiles on the patient’s bra. However, 2-3 larger and 2-3 smaller sizes are tried during the operation. The prosthesis of the most suitable size is applied permanently. We also consult with the anesthesiologist to ensure no obstacle to the surgery.
Then, the operation stage starts.
If the person’s breast tissue is sufficient to hide the prosthesis, the breast implant can be placed on the muscle. So, the edges of the prosthesis are not visible, and you get natural-looking breasts. If the patient has little or no breast tissue, breast augmentation is achieved by placing the prosthesis under the breast muscle. As a result, the implanted prosthesis is not palpable.

What are Breast Implants?
Breast implants are sterile prostheses that are shaped to match your natural breast shape. Their outer shell is made of solid silicone elastomer with a smooth or textured surface. Prostheses are filled with either saline or silicone gel, which are safe and available in various sizes.
Saline Implants Vs. Silicone Implants
Saline implants are filled with sterile saltwater and are encased in silicone rubber during the procedure, allowing for a shorter surgical incision. Silicon implants provide a lighter and more natural feel but are more expensive. Moreover, silicone implants are approved only for patients 22 or older, as per the FDA.
Step-by-Step Procedure for Breast Augmentation Surgery in Turkey
Day 1: Pre-Operative Procedure & Examination
We gather your expectations, take your photos, and plan the surgery to give your breasts the desired dimensions. You have your pre-operative laboratory tests and anesthesia consultation at our clinic. Then, you will be dropped off at your hotel.
Day 2: The Surgery & Overnight Stay At The Hospital
The following morning, you will be admitted to the hospital, and your boob job starts. The surgery is carried out under general anesthesia and lasts for around two hours. During the surgery, a 4-cm incision is made from the lower line of the breast.
When the operation is completed, the incision is closed with a simple dressing and putting on a medical bra to be used for four weeks. After the surgery, you stay in the hospital for one night. Necessary nursing and care services are provided to you.
Day 3 - 5: Discharge & Free Time
The next morning, your doctor will examine you, and you will be discharged. Before the discharge, you will be provided with all your medicines as well as post-operative care. Then, you will be dropped off at your hotel. Then, you have enough free time to take rest.
Day 6 - 8: Re-examination & Free Time
You will be examined at our clinic, and your drains will be removed. Now, you will have enough free time to travel and explore the city if you want. It is safe!
Day 9: Final Examination & Post-Operative Care
You will visit our clinic for the final examination. We will remove your band-aids, allowing you to return to your country safely. Our nurses will inform you about your post-operative care and give you information sheets.
Breast Augmentation Recovery
WE PROVIDE SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS INDIVIDUALIZED FOR EACH PATIENT. HOWEVER, FOLLOWING GENERAL GUIDELINES SHOULD BE HELPFUL.
Following the surgery, you will wear a special medical bra for recovery for up to four weeks. We encourage plenty of rest, but you can walk around the house whenever you feel comfortable enough to do so. This will help promote blood flow after the operation.
Post-operative swelling, pain, and sensitivity should subside over the first few weeks. The incision scars should start fading in a few months after the surgery.
- Patients who have non-strenuous or sedentary jobs can return to work within 1-2 weeks following the surgery.
- All patients are strictly prohibited from engaging in aerobics and sexual activities for 10-15 days. Mild aerobics, like brisk walking, is allowed after ten days. You may engage in full aerobic activities after 4-6 weeks or as advised by the doctor.
- All patients must have an adult at least the first night by their side for safety.
- Most patients do not require prescription pain medicines after 2-3 days.
- Many patients benefit from ice placement in the cleavage during the first post-operative night. Avoid direct application of ice.
